Volodymyr Zelenskiy, President of Ukraine (elected with 73% of the vote in a run-off on Apr 21, 2019)
Born on 25 January 1978, Zelenskiy is a Ukrainian politician, screenwriter, actor, comedian and director. Prior to his political career, he obtained a degree in law and created the company Kvartal 95, which produces films, cartoons and TV comedy shows. Zelensky won the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election with more than 73% of the votes, defeating incumbent Petro Poroshenko. Six months before he announced his candidacy on 31 December 2018, he was already one of the frontrunners in opinion polls for the election.
His father, Oleksandr Zelensky, is a professor who heads an academic department of cybernetics and computing hardware at the Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics; his mother, Rimma Zelenska, used to work as an engineer. Before entering grammar school he lived for four years in Mongolia in the city of Erdenet where his father worked.
Zelensky studied law at the Kyiv National Economic University department in his native Kryvyi Rih but has not worked professionally in the legal field.
Zelensky played the role of President of Ukraine in the 2015–2019 television series Servant of the People. The political party Servant of the People was created in March 2018 by employees from Kvartal 95, which created the television series of the same name.
In September 2003 Zelensky married Olena Zelenska (née Kiyashko). They both attended the same grammar school.
The couple’s first daughter Oleksandra was born in July 2004. In Zelensky’s 2014 movie 8 New Dates she played Sasha, the daughter of the protagonist. In 2016 she participated in the show The Comedy Comedy’s Kids and won 50,000 hryvnias. Their son Cyril Zelensky was born in January 2013.

Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych, Ukrainian, was born July 9, 1950 to a working class family in Yenakiyevo, Donetsk region.
A graduate of Donetsk Polytechnical Institute (now Donetsk State Technical University) and a mechanical engineer by training, he has an MA in international law from the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade.He first worked in 1969 as a gas-fitter in the Yenakiyevo metallurgical works, and then became mechanic at a motor enterprise. He worked as a top executive for 20 years – the General Director of the Production Association – “Donbastransremont,” “Ukrvuglepromtrans” and Donetsk Regional Territorial Association of Motor Transport.
In 1996 Viktor Yanukovych was named deputy chairman then vice-chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration. From 1997 to 2002 he was Chairman of Donetsk Regional State Administration, a deputy of Donetsk Regional Rada and Chairman of Donetsk Regional Rada.
On November 21, 2002 Viktor Yanukovych was appointed the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
On July 4, 2004 he was a presidential candidate nominated by the Party of Regions.
On August 4, 2006 Verkhovna Rada has approved Viktor Yanukovych as the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Viktor Fedorovych is a Doctor of Economics, professor, Full Member of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, Member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
He is a holder of orders ‘For Merits’ of three degrees, Honoured Transport Worker of Ukraine, and other state awards.
He is married to Lyudmyla Oleksandrivna, they have two sons: Oleksandr and Viktor.

Viktor Yushchenko, Former President of Ukraine
Born on February 23, 1954 in the village of Khoruzhivka, Sumy oblast, into a family of teachers. Father – Andriy Andriyovych Yushchenko (1919-1992), took part in the Second World War; after the war taught English at a local school.
